SECTION ONE“ General RFW Code Of Conduct

Article One: All members of the clan are expected to treat each other with fairness and respect, and offer each other practical help where possible.

Article Two: Abusing of other players, weather fellow clan members or not, is not permitted. This is a serious offence, and any reports of abuse must go straight to a founders council member. This includes:

Swearing, if the server owner/controller has requested no swearing in their server.

Repeated chat (spamming) that fill the chat history and generally annoy other players.

Constant/repeated request for the server owner/controller to change some game options.

Constant complaints regarding lag. There is really nothing that can be done about it, either play with it, or leave the server.

The deliberate spawn killing, or team killing of other players. Note: Type killing is not an offence - type at your own risk, and under certain circumstances, spawn killing is permissible, e.g. if the last remaining survivor is absent.

If a player has announced that they will be AFK or BRB, then they should not be killed. (Except as above)

Article Three:
No cheating or hacking of any kind. This includes any modification to the game client, or server designed to enhance the players combat ability.

Article Four: All members must maintain an e-mail address that they can be contacted by. Your email address will not be viewed by anyone else but the Founders council and your faction commanders, and will not be distributed without your personal consent. It is important that you notify the Database Administrator of any change to this address.

Article Five: Under no circumstances are clan e-mail addresses to be used/or distributed for any non-clan related issue, without consent form the persons involved.

Article Six: You agree to wear you RFW tags for all official RFW games. If two members use the same computer, you must ensure that those persons tags are changed.

Article Seven: Passwords.
Only officers (members ranked Lt. an above) are allowed to have server control rights.


Under no circumstances is any RFW member to disclose any password to an unauthorized person, or persons, in or out of the clan.

Disclosing passwords to authorized persons should not be done in game. Preferably in private forums, or in MSN Messenger, e-mail, or other private forms of messaging.

Failure to follow this article is a serious breech of Code of Conduct.

Article Eight:
To take server control in an RFW adopted server, you MUST wear your clan tags.

Article Nine: Accusations of breech of Code of Conduct should be e-mailed directly to a Founders council member, is possible, take a screen shot as evidence.

Article Ten: The Founders council will deal Violations from the code of conduct, and penalties can include anything from demotion in rank to expulsion from the clan.

SECTION TWO-Recruitment Procedures

Article One: Only members ranked MSgt or above may recruit.

Article Two: Once a member has been recruited, it is vital that the recruiting officer tells them to send an email to the database administrator at rfwdata@hotmail.com, with a subject of NEW MEMBER, with the following details:

Name

Nationality

Gender

Valid E-Mail Address

Online Name

Preferred Faction

Preferred Species

Article Three:
Next the database administrator will e-mail the faction commander for that recruit, telling them that it is now their responsibility to see that a 1 on 1 chat is conducted, and a 1 on 1 game is conducted. During this chat, the recruit should be told what RFW is, and the basic code of conduct rules.

Article Four: The new recruit should also create a forums account, and should be seen on the forums.

Article Five: Once the faction commander is satisfied that the recruit is trustworthy, and is ready for full membership, they will then contact the Database Administrator, requesting full membership for the recruit.

Article Six: If the database administrator is satisfied, he will grant full membership to this member, sending an e-mail of congratulations to the new member.

Article Seven: Once given full membership, a recruit gains the rank of PFc, and is now eligible for promotion.

SECTION THREE-Ranks

Article One: Ranks in RFW clan are defined by the position that a member holds in the clan.

Article Two: Ranks are placed into four categories:

Enlisted Ranks

Junior Officers

Senior Officers

Founders

Article Three:
Enlisted Ranks.

Enlisted ranks are of social status in the clan, and are not currently involved with the running of the clan.

Private (Pvt)
The rank of private is held by new members of the clan who have not yet completed probation.

Private First-Class (PFc) Once a private has been awarded full RFW membership, he/she gains the rank of private first-class.

Lance Corporal (LCpl)
Promoted from PFc, for good combat skill.

Corporal (Cpl)
Promoted from LCpl, for good combat skill.

Sergeant (Sgt)
Promoted form Cpl, for good combat skill.

Staff Sergeant (SSgt)
Promoted from Sgt, for good combat skill. Must also have at least once character certification. Ranks of SSgt and above are eligible to sit an officer test.

Master Sergeant (MSgt) Promoted form SSgt, for good combat skill. Must also be a member of a squad.

Chief Master Sergeant (CMS)
promoted from MSgt, for good combat skill. Must hold a tournament victories medal (TVM).

Article Four:
Junior Officers.

Junior officer ranks are assistant ranks. Some assistant officers may hold certain positions in the clan, or generally help out and perform one-off tasks in the clan. Junior officers and above are allowed administrative privileges to gaming servers within the clan. Promotion for officers is not based on combat skill.

Lieutenant (Lt)
Once a member of RFW passes the officer test, they retain the rank of lieutenant.

Captain (Cap)
Promoted by senior officers and above, for a recognized contribution to the clan, there is no requirement for a captain to hold any specific administrative position.

Major (Maj)
Promoted by senior officers and above, for an on-going contribution to the clan. A major must also hold a specific administrative position in the clan. The position available to ranks major and above is the Base Contact Officer.

Lieutenant Colonel (Lt.Col)
Promoted by senior officers and above, for on-going contribution, and carrying out they're administrative position to the best of their ability.

Article Five: Senior Officers.

Senior officer ranks undertake major administrative tasks. The administrative positions are; Base Commander, Deputy Base Commander, or Base Contact Officer, and any other temporary positions that the Founder's council see fit to initiate.

Colonel (Col)
A colonel must hold a major administrative position in the clan. The Founder's council can promote any Lt.Col to Col.

Brigadier General (Gen*)
A brigadier general must hold an administrative position in the clan, and is promoted for continuous contribution to his/her position, or gain of a higher position. Gen* can promote members up to the rank of Lt. The Founders council can promote any Col to Gen*.

Major General (Gen**) A major general must hold an administrative position in the clan, and is promoted for continuous contribution to his/her position, or gain of a higher position. Gen** can promote members up to the rank of Cap. The Founder's council can promote any Gen* to Gen **.

Lieutenant General (Gen***)
A lieutenant general must be at least a deputy base commander, and is promoted for continuous contribution to his/her position, or gain of a higher position. Gen*** can promote members up to the rank of Maj. The Founder's council can promote any Gen** to Gen ***.

General (Gen****)
A general must be a base commander, and is promoted for continuous contribution to his/her position, or gain of a higher position. A general has the same individual authority as a Founder.

Article Six:
Founder Ranks.

A Founder (Fndr) is the ultimate governing body in the clan. There are five founder positions; Clan Ambassador, Squads & Training Administrator, Forums Administrator, Website Administrator, Database Administrator.

Each founder position carries a seat and a vote on the Founder's council.

When a founder leaves active service, they hold the rank of Veteran (Vet), after a vote from the Founder's council. This rank is identical to that of Gen****.
Article Seven: Any member who, for whatever reason, ceases to qualify for the rank, they must be demoted to the rank that they qualify for.

Article Eight: Every member is allowed to have only one in-game name associated with their RFW account.

SECTION FOUR-Promotions

Article One:
All promotions/battlepoints/clanpoints are to be e-mailed to the database administrator, at rfwdata@hotmail.com, and then displayed in the History room on the forum.

Article Two: When a promotion is given in game, the member may change their rank immediately.

Article Three: When e-mailing a promotion, you must include your name, rank and a reason for promotion.
Article Four:
Successfully recruiting 3 members to the clan, who gains full RFW membership, warrants you a one-rank promotion (only from Lieutenant to Captain)

Article Five: Enlisted Rank Promotions.

There are two ways for an enlisted rank to gain promotion; either obtain a straight promotion, or accumulate 100 battlepoints.

Only junior officers and above are able to hand out straight promotion.

Only MSgt and above are allowed to allocate battlepoints, at a maximum of 50 at a time.

Senior enlisted ranks (MSgt and above) cannot award full 100 battlepoints, and/or warrant promotion.

Any member, per day, can only be awarded one set of battlepoints.

Any MSgt or above is not allowed to issue more than 200 battle points a month.

Only ranks of SSgt or above are eligible to sit officer tests.

Article Six: Junior Officer Promotion.

If a SSgt or above passes the officer test, he/she gains the rank of Lt.

There are two ways in which junior officers can be promoted; either a straight promotion, or by accumulating 100 clan points.

Only senior officers as listed in Section Three, Article Five, lines 2-6 may promote junior officers or issue out clan points.

Any member of the Founder's council can promote any junior officer.

Article Seven:
Senior Officer Promotion.

Any Lt.Col may be promoted by the Founder's council to Col, if they show increasing dedication to the clan, and either already hold an administrative position, or have gained a higher position, and are promoted by default.

All senior officer ranks must hold an administrative position in the clan.

The founders council may promote any senior officer if they meet any of the conditions in Section Three, Article Five.

SECTION FIVE-Medals

Article One: All medals must be e-mailed to the database administrator, at rfwdata@hotmail.com, and then posted in the History forum.

Article Two: Non-combat medals can only be handed out by administrator of that particular field. Usually a Founder position.

Article Three: Combat medals may only be handed out by people who have been certified in that particular character class.

Article Four: Details of medals currently available can be viewed in the Clan Policies room.

SECTION SIX: Combat Squads

Article One: Squads are to be made up of 3 RFW members, all from the same base.

Article Two: Though they may play other species during a battle, each squad must nominate a preferred species when it is registered.

Article Three: Though a member may 'substitute' for a squad in any given battle, no member can belong to more than one squad.

Article Four: Squad formation is the responsibility of each Base Council. They must Email the Database Administrator and the Squads And Training Administrator when a new squad is formed.

Article Five: Base Councils should announce a regular squad battle time for their base.

Article Six: Each Squad must be led by the Squad Leader. This member is responsible for organizing battles for the squad, and directing the squad in battle. Generally, this should be the highest ranked member in each squad.

Article Seven: Squads are ranked according to their combat points. These can be viewed, along with medals and awards available to Squads, in the Clan Policies Forum Room.

SECTION SEVEN: Tournaments

Article One:
All RFW Tournaments must be approved by the relevant Faction Council first.

Article Two:
With Faction Council approval, and at least 8 entrants, the Tournament Victors Medal can be handed out to the winner.

Article Three: Tournament organizers must send a full account of the tournament to the Faction Council, the Database Administrator and the Squads And Training Administrator.

Article Four: Tournaments may include members of allied clans.

Article Five: Tournaments may be held against other clans with the permission of the Clan Ambassador. This includes entry into Tournament Leagues.


SECTION EIGHT: Base Council


Article One: Base Councils are responsible for the day to day running of each Base.

Article Two: Only officers of the clan (Lt and above) may serve on a Base council.

Article Three: Base Councils consist of the Base Commander, the Base Deputy Commander and the Base Contact Officer.

Article Four: Base Council members must notify the clan of any extended absence.

Article Five: No member of the Founder's Council may serve on a Base Council.

Article Six: Base Council members moderate their respective Base Forum Rooms.

Article Seven: Base Councils are entitled to conduct Base Fundraising Campaigns, under the following conditions:

Donations must be voluntary.

Donors must be allowed to remain anonymous if desired.

All personal information collected on donors must be maintained to the highest confidentiality.

All non-anonymous donors are eligible to receive the Financial Contributors Award (FCA).

One Founder Council member must be the collecting officer. They must be prepared to provide receipts to donors, and proof of purchase for what the money was raised for.

If funds are raised for a server, the server must be tagged with [RFW] where the provider allows for it. If the server is closed, passwords must be provided to the Base Council.

Article Eight:
Base Councils hand out the MMA (Member of the Month Award) to a single member in their base each month. This must be notified to the Database Administrator.

Article Nine: To pass a resolution, the Faction Commander, the Deputy Commander, Contact Officer, and one Founder must vote on it.

Article Ten: Founders may temporarily stay a Council decision, until they seek a majority vote of the Founder's Council to override it.

Article Eleven: Base Councils conduct investigations against enlisted members of the clan who reside in their base and have allegedly broken clan rules. Base Council investigations are conducted in the following manner:

All posts relating to investigations must be in the relevant Base Council Forum Room.

A single thread is opened concerning the allegations. All Emails/screenshots relating to the investigation must be placed on this thread.

Having gathered all Emails/screenshots involving the investigation, a second thread must be opened to vote on any proposed action against a convicted member.

Conviction of an enlisted member by the Base Council requires a unanimous vote.

Actions against convicted members can include any of the following, and can include multiple items of the following:

a) Removal of any medals
b) Demotion in ranks. (This can be issued by a founder only)
c) A freezing of current or new rank for any period deemed fit by the Base Council.
d) Expulsion from the Clan. This must also be put to the Founder's council, and a majority vote must be passed.

Convicted members have the right of appeal directly to the Founder's Council.

At no time shall any Base Council member divulge the identity or source of allegations to the member under investigation, nor should the investigation be discussed with members not directly related to or witnesses of it.

Base Councils must notify the Founder's Council when an investigation is started and when it is completed.

Investigations against Officers of the clan remain in the preview of the Founders Council.


SECTION NINE: Member Welfare and Voting


Article One: All full members of RFW (PFc and above) have equality and human rights.

Article Two: If, for whatever reason, you are been reprimanded, you have the right to directly appeal to the founder's council, before you are sentenced, and after your sentence, your point of view will be considered with the same respect.

Article Three: If you suspect a member breeching code of conduct, you should report this directly to the Founder's council, or you Base commander, who will report this to the Founder's council.

Article Four: Firstly you may be given a verbal warning, followed by a written warning, and further misconduct may result from expulsion of the clan, or any other penalty that the founder's council see fit.

Article Five: Any founder can, at their digression, issue verbal or written warnings, or demotion (enlisted ranks, and junior officers only, as senior officer demotion requires a founder's vote)

Article Six: Expulsion from the clan requires a majority vote by the founders council, if a unanimous vote is not reached, then the clan member is demoted down three ranks. (PFc's will have two weeks probation as Pvt)

Article Seven: The information that you submit to the database administrator will be kept confidential, and will only be viewed by the founder's council, and your Base council. It will not be distributed to anyone else without your consent.

Article Eight: You should not post any offensive material on the forums.

Article Nine: Do not spam unnecessarily on the forums, you will be reprimanded for doing so.

Article Ten: Your signatures should not include any offensive material that may cause offence to peoples race, gender, religion, or creed, or generally be offensive to anyone, in whatever way.

Article Eleven: Multi-clanning to any degree is unacceptable in the clan, and won't be tolerated.

Article Twelve: It is an offence to hack (or guess) someones forum account, with or without the person's permission, weather you intend to sabotage that account or not.

Article Thirteen: It is an offence to impersonate another members name and/or rank, even if the person involved knows about it.

SECTION TEN: Training and Certifications

Article One: Only training officers, senior officers, Base commanders, and founders may examine certification/trainer skill tests.

Article Two: You can only examine certification/trainer tests that you hold a trainer certification in.

BASIC CERTIFICATION

Article Three: To gain a basic certification, a minimum of 4 maps must be played, and a different character must be played each map.

Article Four: For a basic certification the kill ratio at the end of the game must be 6:10 (10 been the examiners score).

Article Five: Only training officers, senior officers, Base commanders, and founders who hold a training certification in that species may examine the basic certification.

ADVANCED CERTIFICATION

Article Six: To gain an advanced certification, a minimum of 4 maps must be played, and a different character must be played each map.

Article Seven: For an advanced certification the kill ratio at the end of the game must be 7:10 (10 been the examiners score).

Article Eight: Only training officers, senior officers, Base commanders, and founders who hold a training certification in that species may examine the advanced certification.

EXPERT CERTIFICATION

Article Nine: To gain an expert certification, a minimum of 4 maps must be played, and a different character must be played each map.

Article Ten: For an expert certification the kill ratio at the end of the game must be 9:10 (10 been the examiners score).

Article Eleven: Only training officers, senior officers, Base commanders, and founders who hold a training certification in that species may examine the advanced certification.

MASTER CERTIFICATION


Article Twelve: To gain a master certification, a minimum of 4 maps must be played, and a different character must be played each map.

Article Thirteen: For a master certification the contestant must beat the trainer to 10 kills.

Article Fourteen: Only training officers, senior officers, Base commanders, and founders who hold a training certification in that species may examine the master certification.

TRAINER TEST

Article Fifteen: To gain a trainer certification, a minimum of 4 maps must be played, and a different character must be played each map.

Article Sixteen: For a trainer certification the kill ratio at the end of the game must be 9:10.

Article Seventeen:
Only training officers, senior officers, faction commanders, and founders who hold a certification in that species may examine the training certification.

Article Eighteen: If the training officer test is successful, a screenshot of each map must be taken, and e-mailed to the database administrator, and a vote will be put to the founder's council.

Article Nineteen: If voted in by the council, you will gain the rank of a training officer. Training officers have the same individual authority as a colonel.

Article Twenty: Only officers (SSgt. and above) may take a trainer test.
<;br>Article Twenty-One: Any member is eligible to sit any certification test.

Article Twenty-Two: The game settings are entirely at the training officers/examiners digression.

CONSTITUTION LIABILITY

Article One: For any articles in this section to be changed, there MUST be a unanimous vote by the Founder's council.

Article Two: For any article in the RFW clan constitution to be edited or deleted, there must again be a unanimous vote by the Founder's council.

Article Three: For any article to be added, there must be a majority vote by the founder's council.

Article Four: The RFW Clan Constitution is maintained by the database administrator, and can only be edited by the database administrator.
